In 2006, November Sony first released the PlayStation 3 universally. It was so designed at the edge of the game consoles to compete with its main competitor that the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. The console’s extraordinary arrangement includes XDR memory, a Cell Processor and the graphics processor of the NVIDIA. The consoles also enriched with the integrated type Blu-ray drive, hard drive and have the capability of wireless networking. But recently Sony has announced that they will release their new version of the PlayStation, probably PS4. There is a rumor among the people that whether PS4 is designed uniquely or it will be the improved edition of the PS3. So people are now thinking about the improvements of PS3 to PS4.
The Cell processor is the heart of the PlayStation which jointly developed by the IBM, Toshiba and Sony. This processor is fabricated with 8 processor elements which are work independently. The changes from PS3 to PS4 in Cell processor considering is very high level of development along with huge processing power. The expert considering that the processor may be developed by its clock frequency in higher range and the number of processing elements can be increased from its current eight. This edition will increase the data-crunching power of the PS4 in its life cycle. The Cell processor currently uses the DRAM type of advanced memory XDR in the PS3. This is not specially designed for the PS games but it runs very fast with its 4.8Gbps speed. Expert considering in this case a slight change can be happened where the memory may increase.
